Anonymous Session Tokens. When you first open the app, we generate a random anonymous session token stored locally on your device. This token is not linked to your name, email, or any personal identifier.

Chat Messages. When you send a question to Abby, your message is transmitted to our servers to generate a response. We do not permanently store your chat conversations on our servers. Messages are processed in real time and discarded after the response is delivered.

Usage Data. We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage data such as page views, feature usage counts, and general geographic region (country level) to improve the Service. This data cannot identify you personally.

Local Preferences.Your theme preference, translation setting, and other UX settings are stored locally on your device using your browser's storage and are never sent to our servers.

2. How We Use Information

• To provide and improve the AI Bible chat experience
• To retrieve relevant Bible verses for your questions
• To monitor and maintain Service performance and reliability
• To understand general usage patterns (aggregated, anonymous data only)

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Gospel with Abby:

• OpenAI— to generate AI responses and verse embeddings. Your chat messages are sent to OpenAI's API for processing. OpenAI's API data usage policies apply.
• Cloudflare — for content delivery, DNS, and DDoS protection.
• Google Cloud — for hosting our backend API.
• Supabase — for database hosting (Bible verse data only; no personal data is stored).

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

Gospel with Abby does not use tracking cookies. We use browser local storage and secure storage solely to save your preferences and anonymous session token on your device.

5. Data Retention

Chat messages are processed in real time and are not retained on our servers after a response is generated. Anonymous usage metrics may be retained in aggregated form for up to 12 months.

6. Children's Privacy

Gospel with Abby is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. The Service requires no account creation, email, or personal details.

7. Data Security

All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. We follow industry-standard security practices to protect the Service infrastructure.

8. Your Rights

Since we do not collect personal data or require accounts, there is generally no personal data to request, correct, or delete. If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information, please contact us and we will address it promptly.
